Have so enjoyed painting my beach series. I took some inspiring pics this summer on South Padre Island, and I have a bunch from my trip to the Mayan Riviera. I try to capture the evocative spirit of these exotic regions so we can remember the magic right here at home.

Had a fabulous time in San Francisco last month visiting my talented and beautiful artist friend Nancy Boyton Hartley and husband Brian, seeing the sights, meeting with the charming Alina of Alina B and seeing the fabulous Pierre Bonnard exhibit at the Legion of Honor museum. They wined and dined me to no end!! Here are a few highlights. 

I'll also be a part of WEST - the West Austin Studio Tour starting this weekend. More detail to come on that shortly so stay tuned!!

If you haven't seen "Nature Interpreted", my collaboration with photographer Jack Marshall that combines his stunning nature photographs from around the world with my painterly interpretations of them — ranging from impressionism to full abstraction — swing by Bruegger's Bagels in Westlake this week or next. 3267 Bee Caves Road at Walsh Tarlton (SW corner). 

We had a wonderful turn out to our Saturday morning art reception for "Nature Interpreted" last month. And sold some works to dear friends. Yay! And made new friends. Doesn't get much better. All good!! 

We take the exhibit down Feb. 27. 25% of proceeds benefit the Eanes ISD art department. Love being part of this circle of inspiration.
