Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas
$1300 Available via ArtfulGalleries.com

My next exhibit titled "Nature Interpreted" starts Jan. 3 at Bruegger's Bagels in Westlake Hills (ATX). I'll be exhibiting works along with photographer Jack Marshall. His stunning images have inspired me to paint a new round of abstracted landscapes. I'm finally hitting my stride with these new works so come see them all (3267 Bee Caves Rd at Walsh Tarlton — SW corner). Join us for our Art Reception, Saturday morning Jan. 23 from 10 AM - noon - we'll have bagels and cream cheese, brandy milk punch and apple cider!

About Me

My photo
Debbi Smith Rourke
Austin, TX, United States
As an artist, I work in oil and pastel and paint a variety of subjects. Simplification of my subjects has revealed a love of abstraction. I move seamlessly between representation and abstract work, always focusing on composition, value, movement, color and texture. I work in my home studio in Austin and teach oil and acrylic painting lessons to children and adults. My color and shaped-inspired works have been exhibited in galleries, museums, public spaces and festivals around the US, and many have found their way into private collections. I am also a spiritual person. These areas of my life overlap. Sometimes my angel "downloads" influence my art, and my art gives way to divine insights. When these fields cross, you may see cross posts! All good!! Feel free to visit Debbi's Angel Blog and Debbi Smith Rourke's Art Blog.
