Mt. Bonnell Triptych #DebbiSmithRourke #LakeAustin

Mt. Bonnell Triptych
Oil on canvas - Three 20"x20" works
Painted gallery-wrapped edges
NFS

I painted this about 2.5 years ago and never posted it. After getting a new headboard, I needed new artwork. So, I painted the view as if we had a window over the bed and no house next door. :-) Living near Lake Austin has it's perks as you can see it out the adjacent window. This image depicts the morning view with the light not quite yet over the trees as they are still in shadow. And I removed buildings to keep it pastoral. The white trim indicates a window frame. Not sure that reads as such but still makes a nice border. Could be a frame. Anyway, I love it and it really makes the room.

Stargate 36x36 #DebbiSmithRourke #geometricart

Stargate 36"x 36"
Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas with painted 1.5" edges
$3100 unframed + sh/h

I recently completed this colorful piece after being intrigued by the many geometric paintings I've seen as of late. Creating depth on both the x and y axis become the goal.
I call it Stargate because it reminds me of a crystalline diamond and thus, with a lot of imagination, could be a stargate in the heavens. wink wink. :-)

Snowmass Summer Summit 11"x14"
Oil on canvas panel
$425 unframed + sh/h

I painted this last year after a trip in the summer of 2018 to Snowmass Village, Colorado. We did a lot of hiking and were enchanted by the sights and abundant natural wonders. This summit was quite windy and dry, yet an evergreen was still growing out of this rocky surface. I hope to paint many more works from this trip.

Orange and White 8" x 10"
Oil on canvas panel
SOLD

This is an oldie but a goodie. I painted this back in 2013 after UT beat OU in college football. As of late, that has been a huge challenge. So re-celebrating an old win and bringing back to mind one of my fav still life paintings. I love the thick paint applied with the palette knife. Creates a nice painterly effect.
